Dr. Charles Rathinaswamy Founder & CEO – C2C Consultant Industry–Academia Strategist | Business & Entrepreneurship Mentor
At the heart of C2C Consultant is Charles Rathinaswamy, Founder & CEO, whose mission is to bridge the gap between academia and industry while nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship. With over 30 years of professional experience, he has dedicated his career to empowering students, educational institutions, startups, and businesses through strategic collaboration and mentorship. As an accomplished Industry–Academia Strategist, Business & Entrepreneurship Mentor, and Chamber of Commerce Leader, Charles has played a pivotal role in building strong partnerships between educational institutions and corporate organizations. His expertise spans talent development, employability, leadership, startup incubation, business networking, and corporate engagement. Driven by a passion for creating meaningful opportunities, he continues to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, guide institutions toward industry readiness, and support organizations in developing future-ready talent. Through C2C Consultant, his vision is to create a thriving ecosystem where education, innovation, and business work together to shape the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
In addition to his corporate and consulting career, Charles has a strong academic and music education profile. He has been a Visiting Faculty at IIT Madras since 2014, teaching Western Classical Music, Plectrum Guitar and Music Theory under the Recreation Club programme. Over the years, he has trained thousands of IIT Madras students, with an emphasis on understanding music academically—including notation, harmony, rhythm, dynamics, articulation and musical interpretation—rather than merely learning popular songs. He is also an Online Faculty with SRM Online, teaching B2B Management, bringing his extensive practical experience in business-to-business marketing, sales and relationship management into the academic environment. His academic qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and a PhD in Sustainable Industries, with research focused on Consumer Perception and Ethical Marketing in Sustainable Industries. He has also completed Grade 6 in Western Classical Music Theory from Trinity College of Music, London.
